A trip to La Caimanera!

On my last vacation, I was with my family and friends to 'La Caimanera'. We had a great time, as we cooked lunch at the river bank, then we had a sancocho soup, roast chicken, rice, ripe banana, avocado, potato, cassava and soda; it was very delicious.

We swam, played soccer, volleyball, we buried in sand with my brother and it was very funny. We all were  very happy, happy, happy, and we want it happens again.

Sancocho in the river!

It was a special weekend trip with my colleagues from the Hospital. We did a trip to ‘Batatas’, it was a great and fun experience. First of all, our journey started at the hospital, so we rented a popular Colombian transport called "Chiva” to take a tour.

It was funny to see the gorgeous landscapes. Then we finally got to our destiny with the mindset of having a very good time. Many of us decided to make the expected "SANCOCHO DE OLLA". Then we ate and swam in the river while we talked and shared a great time together. It was very important for everyone because this way we strengthen the laces between us.
What a wonderful day!

GIRARDOT, CUNDINAMARCA

After 10:00 am, I met my family to have breakfast, so then we went to visit the park of the locomotive. Here you can find the old train station, railway and buildings of the National Railways of the city, part of the national heritage of transportation. If you don't tale a picture in the park of the locomotive, you have not visited Girardot!

We continued our journey, trying to find an old touristic monument in the region called "The Boga". The monument is located in the area of access to Embarcadero Resort, and it is a memorial of a fisherman who lived on the banks of the Magdalena River, where he worked and made canoe tours always with his fishing net.

During the tour we walked, we saw the Magdalena River and there we found the touristic Giradot¿s Pier, located in the south eastern corner of 12th street  and 12th career on the current nomenclature, and on the north bank of the Magdalena River. This center provides a river walks, swimming pool, bar and restaurant service.

FLANDES, TOLIMA

We are a Colombian municipality located in the department of Tolima, located in the center of the country, on the upper basin of the most beautiful rivers that is the ‘cupcake’ where many of our ancestors sailed day and night being their only means of transport and power supply.

Thanks to its strategic location, our town is ideal to become the best summer resort and recreation place, for the privilege of having means of river transport, air and road and rail, it is an unforgettable experience to share with family on a Sunday stroll by boat along the river and observe the landscape that nature provides us. Here we can perform activities such as bathing, ride pot, boating, and fishing or enjoy the touristic train that runs from
Girardot to our town through the iron that is via pedestrian with a view towards the river, its surrounding areas and from there you can see the ‘Ospina’ bridge.

We pioneered the start of aviation in Colombia with the first flight done in the country by an airline founded by a German SCADTA, who came from Barranquilla to our town through the Magdalena River. The flight was made in a seaplane, but later Vila built the Santiago airport, which serves as a bridge connecting the city and the country.

From there we can develop aeronautics weekend activities family as paragliders, kites, directed flights and aerial tours of the region where we see our vegetation and fresh air. Santiago Vila airport have become a great heritage for the center of the country. Another attractions we have for the tourists arriving both business and passing, are the largest production of the traditional ‘Achira’ plants and biscuits of the region to all those tourists who visit our town looking for tasty crunchy baked snacks.
