CALARCÁ, QUINDIO

From June 24^th to July 4^th, it is celebrated the National Coffee Party in Calarcá, Quindío.  Here you will find the National Coffee Pageant, The Yipao Parade, the hand-craft fair, folkloric meetings, bicycle parades, The Rock-Coffee Concert, and other different events.

The inhabitants of the town decorate the streets and houses with flowers during the holidays. The parade and ‘Yipao Contest’ commemorates the Willy’s Jeep, because it has helped in the development of these communities and also, it is a cultural icon of the region. The ‘Yipao’ is an event that has been positioned for years as a touristic attraction in our department.
